Celandine is a medicinal plant also known as swallow weed, warts weed or ceruda. This medicinal plant has a branched and brittle stem, with yellow flowers, large, alternating and dark green leaves.

How to use Celandine

- Celandine tea: Add 1 teaspoon of dry celandine to a cup of boiling water, then let stand for 10 minutes, strain and drink 3 to 4 cups of tea a day, for 3 or 4 weeks for gastrointestinal treatment. Compress with celandine tea for warts: Cook 2 teaspoons of celandine in 250 ml of water for 5 minutes, strain and apply warm on the warts with the aid of gauze 2 to 3 times a day. After application, wash the area with warm water.
Side effects of Celandine
High doses of celandine are toxic and can cause vomiting, nausea and diarrhea.
Contraindication of Celandine
The contraindications for celandine are related to pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as in patients suffering from hypertonia.
