Hydrogen peroxide is a good disinfectant and there are some situations in which it can be used, such as:
- To clean and disinfect the kitchen and some utensils, such as meat boards or the bathroom, as hydrogen peroxide kills some bacteria or microorganisms; To keep toothbrushes free of germs that can cause gingivitis and other oral problems; To avoid problems with chilblains and other fungi that cause the main problems in the feet, including bad smell when used in the correct amount; to disinfect clothes, such as sheets, diapers or those that have been in contact with body secretions and blood.
Hydrogen peroxide can be used to clean wounds, but it does not serve as a wound disinfectant because it is not effective against all microorganisms. A good disinfectant for wounds is Curativ or Povidine.
