Restasis is a medication that has Cyclosporine as an active ingredient.
This drug for ophthalmic use is indicated for the treatment of dry eyes, since its immunosuppressive action reduces the discomfort of individuals who have little eye lubrication and little tears.
Indications of Restasis
Dry eye; eye inflammation; keratoconjunctivitis.
Restasis Side Effects
Burning; eye pain; secretions; itch; foreign body sensation in the eye; pricking sensation; visual changes.
Contraindications for Restasis
Individuals with active eye infection; individuals hypersensitive to any component of the formula.
How to use
Ophthalmic Use
- Apply 1 drop of Restasis to the affected eye, 2 times a day. There should be a 12 hour gap between applications. If the individual wears a contact lens, it must be removed before application and replaced only 15 minutes after administration of the medicine.
