Artemeter is a medicine known commercially as Paluther.
This medicine is for injectable use, used to treat malaria. 20 to 40 hours after the administration of Artemeter, it is possible to observe a decrease in fever, a characteristic symptom of malaria, but the absence of the parasites that cause the disease can only be observed after 2 or 4 days.

Artemeter side effects
Increase in body temperature for 1 to 3 days after the end of treatment and after the decrease in the feverish symptom of malaria; stomach ache; inflammation at the injection site; lack of appetite; nausea; vomiting.
Contraindications for Artemeter
Pregnant or lactating women.
How to use Artemeter
Injectable Use
Adults
- The total dose of treatment is 480 mg of Artemeter, which can be administered between 3 and 5 days.
Children
- The total dose of treatment is 9.6 mg of Artemeter per kg of weight, which can be administered between 3 and 5 days.
