Environmental factors such as humidity, perspiration and extreme temperatures are also factors that trigger irritant contact dermatitis more easily.

Treatment for irritant contact dermatitis

Treatment for irritant contact dermatitis consists of washing the affected area with plenty of cold running water and using a small amount of neutral liquid soap. More severe cases can be treated with the use of anti-inflammatory creams or with corticosteroids.
