Melhoral adult contains 500 mg of acetylsalicylic acid and 30 mg of caffeine and therefore should only be used in adults or children over 12 years or over 41 kg. The recommended dose is 1 to 2 tablets every 4 or 6 hours, depending on the intensity of the symptoms, avoiding taking more than 8 tablets a day.
Possible side effects
The most common side effects of prolonged use of Melhoral include nausea, heartburn, vomiting or stomach pain. To relieve this type of discomfort, it is advisable to take the medicine after meals.
Who should not take
Melhoral is contraindicated for people with allergies to acetylsalicylic acid or any other component of the formula. In addition, it should also not be used in cases of:
