This medication for oral use is indicated for the treatment of hyperthyroidism, since its action consists in inhibiting the synthesis of thyroid hormones, thus controlling the disease and its symptoms.

How to use Propil
Oral use
Adults
- Administer 100 mg of Propil, 3 times a day. In severe cases the dose can reach 300 mg every 8 hours. The maintenance dose ranges from 100 mg a day to 100 mg 3 times a day.
Children over 10 years old
- Administer 100 mg of Propil, 3 times a day. The maintenance dose is 25 mg, 3 times a day to 100 mg, 2 times a day.
Children 6 to 10 years
- Administer 50 to 150 mg daily, in divided doses every 8 hours.
Neonates and children up to 6 years
- Administer from 5 to 7 mg per kg of body weight per day, in divided doses every 8 hours.
