The best home remedy for dehydration is homemade serum, as it replenishes the water and minerals that the body needs to properly perform its functions.
Ingredients
- 1 liter of water, 1 shallow spoon (of coffee) of salt, 2 shallow spoons (of soup) of sugar.
Method of preparation
Put all the ingredients in a bottle and mix well. The water for preparing the serum should be preferably mineral, but if this is not possible, it is recommended to boil it for about five minutes to eliminate any microorganism.

The serum should be offered gradually at room temperature and should be discarded after 24 hours.
In addition to this homemade dehydration serum, another option is isotonic drinks and salts for oral rehydration, which can be purchased at pharmacies.
To avoid dehydration, you should drink about 2 liters of water per day, which includes natural fruit juices or teas. The ideal is to increase the intake of these fluids after an episode of diarrhea or vomiting or during and after physical exercise, to replace the amount of water lost through sweating.
In addition, foods with a high water content, such as radish, watermelon, tomato, turnip, carrot, cauliflower, melon or strawberry, for example, should also be preferred. Discover more water-rich foods that help fight and prevent dehydration.
