How to use

The dosage of the drug depends on the dosage form:

1. Syrup

The recommended doses of the syrup are:

Adult syrup:

  • Adults: ½ to 1 measuring cup (5 to 10 ml), 3 times a day; Children 6 to 12 years old: ½ measuring cup (5 ml), 3 times a day.

Pediatric syrup:

  • Children aged 6 to 12: 1 measuring cup (10 ml), 3 times a day; Children aged 1 to 6 years: ½ to 1 measuring cup (5 to 10 ml), 3 times a day; Children under 1 year: ½ measuring cup (5 ml), 2 to 3 times a day.

2. Pressurized solution for inhalation

For episodes of acute asthma and other conditions with reversible airway constriction, the recommended dose is an inhalation of 1 dose (100 mcg) orally, for immediate relief of symptoms. If the person does not improve after about 5 minutes, he can inhale another dose up to a maximum of 8 doses per day.

If there is no relief of symptoms after 2 doses, talk to the doctor.

For the prevention of exercise-induced asthma, the recommended dosage is 1 to 2 doses (100 to 200 mcg) orally, before exercise, up to a maximum of 8 doses per day.

Who should not use

Broncotec is contraindicated for people who are hypersensitive to any of the components present in the formula, with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy or tachyarrhythmia.

In addition, this medicine should also not be used by pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding.

Possible side effects

Some of the most common side effects that can occur are tremors and a cough.
