Sildenafil, tadalafil and vardenafil, better known by the trade names Viagra, Cialis and Levitra, are drugs that act by stimulating the increase of nitric oxide in the smooth muscles of the corpora cavernosa of the penis, through sexual stimulation, promoting its relaxation and thus allowing a better influx of blood, favoring the erection of the penis.
The most common side effects that can occur during treatment with these medications are headache, low back pain and muscle pain, dizziness, visual disturbances, hot flashes, facial flushing, nasal congestion, nausea and poor digestion.
2. Alprostadil for injection
With the trade name Carverject, this medicine is an injectable indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, when its origin is related to nerves, blood vessels or when the cause is of psychological origin.

The most common side effects are pain in the penis, redness, penile fibrosis, angulation of the penis, fibrotic nodules, prolonged erection and hematoma at the injection site.
3. Alprostadil intra-urethral pencil
This medicine must be inserted into the urethra and works by dilating blood vessels to help the man maintain an erection or so that the doctor can do a test to see if the person suffers from impotence.
Some of the side effects that can occur with the use of this remedy are pain in the urethra and penis, headache, dizziness, muscle spasms, low blood pressure, slight urethral bleeding, pain in the testicles, burning sensation and itching in the partner's vagina during intimate contact and abnormal curvature and narrowing of the penis.
4. Testosterone
