Indications
The use of Mucolitic is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic conditions of the respiratory tract, in which the secretion is thick.
It is usually indicated for the relief of bronchospasm associated with chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma or emphysema or in allergic cough.
How to use
Mucolitic should be used orally, for adults and children over 12 years of age 250 to 500 mg is recommended 3 times a day and for children from 2 to 12 years of age 5 mg per kg of body weight, 3 times a day.
Side effects
The use of this medication can cause palpitation, skin rash, low blood sugar, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, gastrointestinal bleeding, headache and insomnia dizziness.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding and for children under 2 years of age or with active peptic ulcer.
