To do the exfoliating massage for the body, you just need a good scrub and a few minutes in the bath. You can buy a scrub at the pharmacy, at the market, at beauty supply stores, but it can also be made at home using natural products, free of parabens.
This exfoliating massage will increase blood circulation, eliminate toxins and impurities and will also eliminate dead cells and excess keratin in the skin, leaving the skin ready to be deeply hydrated, being a great idea to do before applying creams like reducing gel, anti-aging and anti-cellulite, for example.
Step by step exfoliating massage
You should prepare the homemade scrub using an oil of your choice and you can add cornmeal, sugar or coarse salt, the latter having larger grains that can hurt your skin and therefore it should only be used to exfoliate your elbows, knees and on the soles of the feet.
1st step
During the bath, with the body still wet, put about 2 tablespoons of this scrub in your hand and then rub with circular movements all over the body. Start with the legs, thighs and buttocks and then apply the scrub also on the abdomen, back and arms. Put the scrub in your hand, as it ends.
2nd step
Make sure that no area of the body has been left without exfoliation and insist on the areas where the skin tends to be drier: elbows, knees and feet.
3rd step
Rinse the entire body and dry yourself with a soft towel gently or let the body dry naturally. With the skin still moist, apply a good moisturizing cream until the product is completely absorbed.
4th step
To exfoliate your face, you should only use a less intense exfoliator, such as a mixture of moisturizer and oat flakes. Just rub a small amount all over the face, insisting more on the forehead and around the mouth and then rinse, without forgetting to apply a moisturizing cream to the face.
This exfoliating massage can be performed every 15 days or once a month for those with very dry skin. If you have very rough hands, this is a great way to smooth them out and so it can be a great idea to keep some of this homemade scrub in a glass container and always have it in the bathroom so you can exfoliate your skin whenever you feel it very dry, but it is essential to moisturize the skin immediately afterwards, since exfoliation removes the skin's natural hydration.
