How to use
The method of use of Geodon consists of the ingestion of 1 40 mg tablet every 12 hours, with food, under the guidance of the doctor, and the dose can be adjusted up to a maximum of 80 mg every 12 hours.
In patients with mild to moderate liver failure, the daily dose of Geodon should be lower.
Possible side effects
Side effects of Geodon include drowsiness, uncontrolled muscle movements, dizziness, nausea, headaches, allergic reaction, insomnia, mania and euphoria, muscle stiffness, altered mental status, increased body temperature, anxiety, agitation, altered consciousness, confusion, restlessness, hallucinations, tremors, involuntary muscle contraction, incoordination, abdominal cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, fainting and swelling of the skin.
During treatment, you should not drive a vehicle or operate machinery, as your ability and attention may be impaired.
Who should not use
Geodon is contraindicated in children and adolescents under the age of 18, in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, with known prolongation of the QT interval, including congenital long QT syndrome, with recent infarction, decompensated heart failure or cardiac arrhythmias.
In addition, this medication should not be used by pregnant women, during breastfeeding and in patients with lactose intolerance, without medical advice.
