How to use
The dosage depends on the dosage form of Maxitriol to be used:
1. Eye drops
The recommended dose is 1 to 2 drops, 4 to 6 times a day, which should be applied in conjunctival cases. In more severe cases, the drops can be administered hourly, and the dosage should be reduced gradually, as directed by the doctor.
2. Ointment
The usual recommended dose is 1 to 1.5 centimeters of ointment, which should be applied to the conjunctival sac, 3 to 4 times a day or as directed by the doctor.
For added convenience, the eye drops can be used during the day and the ointment can be applied at night, before bedtime.
Who should not use
Maxitrol is contraindicated for people with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula and should not be used in pregnant or lactating women without medical advice.
