How to take
The dose of this medication must be calculated by the doctor, according to each case, however, most of the time it is done as follows:
- 1 tablet, three times a day, one hour before meals; or 2 tablets, once a day.
The last pill of the day should be taken 4 to 6 hours before bed.
Possible side effects
Some of the most common side effects of Absten S include dry mouth, increased heart rate, nervousness, insomnia, diarrhea, feeling sick, drowsiness, headache, increased sweat production, nausea, vomiting, palpitations or cramps.
Who should not take
This remedy is contraindicated for children under 12 years of age, pregnant women, breastfeeding women and people with allergies to some of the components of the formula, agitation states, glaucoma, history of drug or alcohol use, undergoing treatment with MAOIs or diseases cardiovascular diseases such as arrhythmia, high blood pressure or diabetes.
In some cases of psychosis, such as schizophrenia, this medication should also not be used.
