Miantrex CS is an antineoplastic and antirheumatic medication that has Methotrexate as its active substance.
This medicine for oral use is injectable and is indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and leukemia. Its effect has an effect on the multiplication of cells and helps to metabolize folic acid.
Indications of Miantrex CS (What is it for)
Severe rheumatoid arthritis; acute lymphocytic leukemia; Burkitt's lymphoma; Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma; lymphosarcoma; fungal mycosis; severe psoriasis; trophoblastic tumor.
Side effects of Miantrex CS
Inflammation in the mouth; diarrhea; nausea; vomiting; tubular necrosis; anemia; urticaria.
Contraindications for Miantrex CS
Pregnancy risk X; lactating women; renal insufficiency.
How to use Miantrex CS (Posology)
Oral use
Adults
- Trophoblastic tumor: 15 to 30 mg per day, for 5 days. Repeat the dose after 1 or more weeks according to the patient's clinical response. Acute lymphocytic leukemia: 3.3 mg per square meter of body surface per day, for 4 to 6 weeks or until remission of symptoms. Burkitt's lymphoma: 10 to 25 mg per day, for 4 to 8 days. Rest for a week and repeat the dose. Lymphosarcoma: 0.625 to 2.5 mg per kg of body weight per day. Fungal ringworm: 2.5 to 10 mg per day. Severe psoriasis: 10 to 25 mg in a single weekly dose.
