Muricalm is an antiallergic that has Pimetixene as an active ingredient.
This medication is for oral use and has sedative properties that help in the treatment of children with allergic disorders, however it can cause a lot of drowsiness leaving the child apathetic.
Indications of Muricalm
Allergic bronchitis; allergic cough; conjunctivitis; itch.
Side effects of Muricalm
Somnolence; excitement; dry mouth; dizziness.
Contraindications for Muricalm
Children under 1 year of age.
How to use Muricalm
Children (from 1 year old)
Oral solution in drops
- Administer 1 drop of Muricalm per kg of weight, 3 times a day.
Syrup
- 1 to 5 years: Administer 5 to 7.5 ml of Muricalm, 3 times a day; 6 to 10 years: Administer 7.5 to 10 mL of Muricalm, 3 times a day; Over 10 years: Administer 10 to 15 mL, 3 times a day.
