Muscoril is a muscle relaxant whose active substance is Tiocolchicoside.
This medication for oral use is injectable and is indicated for muscle contractures caused by neurological syndrome or rheumatic problems. Muscoril acts by central action, reducing the pain and discomfort of muscle inflammation.

How to use Muscoril
Oral use
Adults and children
- Start treatment with the administration of 4 mg of Muscoril daily and, if necessary, increase 2 mg every 4 or 6 days, until the desired effect is obtained. The ideal dosage is between 12 to 16 mg daily for adults and between 4 to 12 mg daily for children, depending on the age group.
Injectable use
Adults
- Intravenous use: Inject 4 mg of Muscoril daily, for 3 or 4 days. If necessary, repeat the procedure the following week. Intramuscular route : Inject 8 mg of Muscoril daily, for 8 to 10 days.
Children over 12 years old
- Intravenous use: Inject 1 mg of Muscoril daily, for 3 to 4 days. Intramuscular route : Inject 2 mg of Muscoril, for 8 to 10 days.
