• Hypertension: Start with 40 mg, in a single daily dose, if necessary increase the dose by 40 to 80 mg at intervals of 1 week. The dose limit is 320 mg per day. Angina: Start with 40 mg, in a single daily dose; if necessary, increase the dose by 40 to 80 mg at intervals of 3 to 7 days. The dose limit is 240 mg per day. Migraine (prevention): Start with 20 to 40 mg, in a single daily dose, if necessary, gradually increase the dose to 120 mg per day.
