This medicine has in its composition two hormones, ethinyl estradiol and gestodene, which have the function of inhibiting the hormonal stimuli that lead to ovulation, also causing changes in the cervical mucus and in the endometrium, thus making conception difficult.

How to use
One gestinol tablet should be taken, every day and at the same time, for 28 days and after finishing the pack, the next must be started without interruption. If this is the first time you are taking this contraceptive, the first pill should be started on the first day of the menstrual cycle, which is equivalent to the first day of menstrual bleeding.
If you are changing contraceptives, you should preferably start gestinol the day after taking the last active pill of the previous contraceptive.

Who should not use
The contraceptive gestinol should not be used by people who are allergic to any of the components of the formula and should not be used by pregnant women or who are breastfeeding.
In addition, it is contraindicated in women with a history of deep venous thrombosis, thromboembolism, cerebral or coronary artery disease, hereditary or acquired thrombogenic heart valve disease, headache with focal neurological symptoms, diabetes with vascular involvement, high blood pressure, breast cancer or active liver, vaginal bleeding without known cause and pancreatitis associated with severe hypertriglyceridemia.

The most common side effects that may occur while taking the contraceptive Gestinol 28 are headache, including migraine, bleeding, vaginitis, changes in mood and sexual appetite, nervousness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, acne, pain, tenderness, breast enlargement and secretion, menstrual cramps, swelling due to fluid retention and changes in body weight.
