How to use
Gardenal is available in 50 mg and 100 mg tablets and in oral solution in drops with a concentration of 40 mg / mL. The recommended dose for adults is 2 to 3 mg / kg per day and for children it is 3 to 4 mg / kg per day, in a single or fractional dose.
In the case of drops, they must be diluted with water.
Who should not use
Gardenal should not be used by people who are allergic to any component of the formula, who have porphyria, known hypersensitivity to barbiturates, severe respiratory failure, severe liver and kidney failure, who are using drugs such as saquinavir, ifosfamide or contraceptives with estrogens or progestins or who consume alcoholic beverages.
In addition, this medicine is also contraindicated in pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding.
