How orthopantomography is performed
To perform orthopantomography, no prior preparation is necessary. The person must remain quiet throughout the procedure, which is done as follows:
- We wear a leaded vest to protect the body from radiation; We remove all metallic objects that the person has, such as earrings, necklace, ring or piercing ; We put a lip retractor, which is a plastic part, in the mouth to remove the lips from the teeth; the face is correctly positioned in the equipment indicated by the dentist; the machine records the image that will then be analyzed by the dentist.
After registration, the image can be seen in a few minutes and the dentist will be able to make the most complete and detailed assessment of the health status of each person's mouth, guiding everything that may need to be done, such as root canal treatment, tooth removal. teeth, restoration or use of dental prostheses, for example.

This test is very safe, as it uses a very low amount of radiation and is not dangerous to health.
