The treatment for oral candidiasis can be done at home and lasts about 14 days, starting with the use of antifungal mouthwashes, such as Nystatin.

In case the rinse has no effect, the doctor may prescribe the intake of oral antifungal remedies, such as Fluconazole, which should be taken according to medical advice, even after the symptoms disappear.

In addition, to facilitate treatment for candidiasis in the mouth, it is important to maintain good oral hygiene, brushing the teeth after eating, or, in the case of the baby, giving 20 ml of cold boiled water to eliminate the remains of milk from the mouth.
