Benzonidazole is a drug known commercially as Rochagan.
This drug is an antiparasitic administered in oral form, used specifically against Trypanosoma cruzi, the protozoan that causes Chagas disease.

Blood changes; abdominal pain; Headache; skin allergies; fatigue; liver and kidney failure.

Pregnant or lactating women.
How to use Benzonidazole
Oral use
Adults and Children over 12 years
- Administer 5 to 7 mg per kg of body weight per day, divided into 2 doses, one after breakfast and the other after dinner (12-hour interval between doses).
Children under 12
- They may receive doses up to a maximum of 10 mg per kg of body weight per day, during the first 10 to 20 days of treatment, then reduce the dose to 5 to 7 mg per kg of weight per day.
Bezonidazole treatment should be continued for 30 to 60 consecutive days.
