Dropropizine is the substance found in the oral medicine known as Vibral, an antitussive that acts on the respiratory tract.
This medicine can also be found in pharmacies under the names of Ecos, Eritós or Tussiflex-D.
Indications
Non-productive cough
Side effects
Nausea; somnolence; pressure drop when getting up.
Contraindications
First trimester pregnancy; breast-feeding; asthma; respiratory failure; do not use when coughing is necessary to eliminate secretions or foreign bodies; drop in blood pressure.
How to use
Adults and children over 12 years
- 30 mg, 3 or 4 times a day.
Children from 2 to 12 years old
- 0.45 mg per kg of body weight, 4 times a day.
