Impavido is a medication indicated for the treatment of some types of leishmaniasis, which affect the internal organs, skin, nose, mouth and throat.
This medicine has in its composition Miltefosine, an effective leishmanicidal agent in the treatment of this disease. Impavido may also be known by its generic name Miltefosine.

How to take
Impavido capsules should be swallowed whole, without breaking or chewing, with a glass of water and with meals.
For adults over 45 kg, the recommended dose is 1 50 mg capsules taken 3 times a day for 28 days of treatment. For children between 30 and 44 kg, the recommended dose is 1 50 mg capsules taken twice a day for 28 days of treatment.
Side effects
Side effects of Impavido can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, itchy skin or kidney problems.
Contraindications
This remedy is contraindicated for pregnant women, patients with Sjögren's syndrome and for patients with allergies to miltefosine or some other components of the formula.
In addition, if you are breastfeeding, have kidney or liver problems or if you are being treated with other medicines, you should talk to your doctor before starting treatment.
