Dose for daily use (subcutaneous)
- Prostate cancer: 1 mg daily (0.2 ml).
Dose for prolonged use (Intramuscular route)
- Endometriosis: 3.75 mg once a month or 11.25 mg in a single injection. Anemia: 3.75 mg once a month for a maximum of 3 months or 11.25 mg in a single injection. Prostate cancer: 7, 5 mg once a month or 22.5 mg, once every 3 months. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor.
Side effects of Lupron
Side effects of lupron include hot flashes, nausea, vomiting, impotence, inflammation in the vagina, missed periods, weight loss or gain, dizziness, depression, headache and weakness.
Contraindications for Lupron
