Podophyllin is an anti-warts medication, which has Podophyllotoxin as an active substance, extracted from two plants, Podophyllum emodi and Podophyllum peltatum.
This medication is for topical use, but must be handled with care due to the high probability of irritating healthy tissues. The use of Podophyllin in oral form can damage the central nervous system and lead to death.

Local irritation; vomiting; nausea; abdominal pain; diarrhea; kidney failure; visual and auditory hallucinations; disorientation; confusion; delirium.
Podophyllin contraindications
Pregnancy risk X; lactating women; children.
How to use Podophylline
Topical use
Adults
Apply the tincture of Podophyllin only to the affected area, avoiding contact with healthy skin. The medication should be removed with water after 1 to 6 hours and repeat the procedure for 6 weeks.
