Sandomigran is a medicine that has the active substance Pizotifeno.
This oral medication is indicated for the treatment of migraines, its action reduces the frequency of crises and its symptoms such as headache and tiredness.
Sandomigran also acts as an appetite stimulant and decreases the symptoms of depression, leaving the individual more willing for daily tasks.
Indications of Sandomigran
Migraine; headache of vasomotor origin; horton syndrome.
Side effects of Sandomigran
Edema; pressure fall; mental confusion; somnolence; dizziness; fatigue; increased appetite; nausea; dry mouth; muscle pain; vertigo; constipation.
Contraindications of Sandomigran
Pregnant or lactating women; history of glaucoma, prostate hypertrophy and urinary retention; Hipersensibility to any of the formula's components.
How to use Sandomigran
Oral use
Adults
- Start treatment with the administration of 0.5mg of Sandomigran. In the following days, take 0.5 mg in the morning and 0.5 mg in the evening. Some cases can reach up to 4.5 mg per day, divided into 3 doses.
Children over 12
- Start treatment with 0.5mg. In some cases the dose can be up to 1.5 mg, divided into 3 doses.
