Seki is a cough medicine that acts at the brain level by inhibiting cough, which has Cloperastine as an active ingredient. This medication also acts on the lungs, inhibiting the spasms of the bronchial muscles that cause coughing and, due to the antihistamine action, prevents irritation of the bronchi.
Seki can be found in the form of syrup or in drops, being produced by the pharmaceutical laboratory Zambon.

Seki is indicated to treat all forms of dry, irritating or expectorated cough.

The price of Seki in drops varies between 22 and 28 reais, while in syrup the price can vary between 18 and 24 reais.
How to use Seki
The use of Seki in adults can be:
- Syrup: 2 mg / kg of weight / day (or 0.5 ml / kg of weight / day), divided into 4 doses: one in the morning, one in the afternoon and two before bedtime. Drops: 3 drops for every 2 kg weight / day, divided into 4 doses: one in the morning, one in the afternoon and two before bedtime.
In children under 12, the method of use may be 0.5 - 1.0 mL / kg / day of syrup or 1-2 drops / kg / day divided into 3 daily doses or at the doctor's discretion, with the usual total dose divided by 4, being administered 1 dose in the morning, 1 dose in the afternoon and 2 doses together in the evening.
The maximum dose is 60 ml of syrup and 120 drops of the oral suspension per day.
Side effects of Seki
The side effects of Seki can be dry mouth or drowsiness, which disappears quickly with dose reduction.
Seki's contraindications
Seki is contraindicated in individuals who are hypersensitive to any component of the formula and its use in pregnant or lactating women should be done after the doctor's evaluation.
