How to use
The recommended dose of Zomig is 1 2.5 mg tablet, and a second dose can be taken at least 2 hours after the first, if symptoms return within 24 hours. In some cases, especially those where the 2.5 mg dose is not effective, the doctor may recommend a higher dose of 5 mg.
Efficacy occurs within about an hour after the tablet is administered, with orodispersible tablets having a faster effect.
Possible side effects
The main side effects of Zomig include dizziness, headache, tingling, drowsiness, palpitations, abdominal pain, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, weight loss, increased heart rate or increased urge to urinate.
Who should not use
Zomig is contraindicated in people who are hypersensitive to the components of the formula and should not be used by people with uncontrolled high blood pressure, ischemic heart disease or who suffer from constricted coronary vessels.
