Zurampic is a drug indicated for the treatment of gout, helping to lower the levels of uric acid in the blood.
This medicine has in its composition Lesinurad, a compound that works by reducing the amount of uric acid in the blood, thus preventing the accumulation of urate crystals around the joints.
How to take
Usually, the recommended dose is 1 200 mg tablet taken once a day, early in the morning.
Zurampic tablets should be swallowed whole, with a glass of water and food.
Side effects
Some of the side effects of Zurampic can include flu, headache, changes in blood tests, heartburn, kidney stones or dehydration.
Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated for patients with tumor lysis syndrome, Lesch-Nyhan syndrome, kidney problems, end-stage kidney disease or who have had a kidney transplant or dialysis and for patients with allergies to any of the components of the formula.
In addition, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have lactose intolerance or some other health problem, you should talk to your doctor before starting treatment.
