Lamisil is an antifungal medication from the Novartis laboratory, whose active ingredient is Terbinafine.
Indications
Nail ringworm, athlete's foot, cutaneous candidiasis, infections caused by Tinea capitis, Tinea corporis and Tinea cruris.
Contraindications
Pregnancy, risk B, breastfeeding and children under 2 years of age.
Adverse effects
Intestinal changes such as feeling of full stomach, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, local itching, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis.
How to use
There are 2 ways to use Lamisil, in tablet form and in cream form, and the recommended dose of Lamisil varies according to age and weight.
Children: 1/2 tablet daily if you are <20 kg, 1 tablet daily if you are between 20 and 40 kg, 2 tablets if you are> 40 kg for 4 weeks or until symptoms persist.
Adults: 2 tablets a day, until healing.
Ointment: Apply the ointment twice a day, covering it with gauze to protect it, especially at night.
