Vitacid acne is a topical gel used to treat mild to moderate acne vulgaris, also helping to reduce blackheads on the skin, due to the combination of clindamycin, an antibiotic and tretinoin , a retinoid that regulates growth and differentiation of skin epithelial cells.
This gel is produced by the Theraskin laboratory in tubes of 25 grams and is sold in conventional pharmacies, only under the prescription of the dermatologist, for a price that can vary between 50 and 70 reais, according to the place of purchase.
How to use
Vitacid acne should be applied daily, and it is recommended to use it at night before bed, as exposure to the sun should be avoided during treatment. For this reason, it is also essential to use sunscreen during the day.
Before applying the gel, wash your face with a mild soap and dry well with a clean towel. Then, it is advisable to apply an amount similar to the size of a pea on one of the fingers and pass over the skin of the face, without the need to remove the gel from the skin.
During application, contact with the mouth, eyes, nostrils, nipples and genitals should be avoided. In addition, the product should also not be applied to damaged, irritated, cracked or sunburned skin.
Possible side effects
In some people, Vitacid Acne can cause peeling, dryness, itching, irritation or burning on the skin, which may be red, swollen, with blisters, wounds or scabs. In these cases, the gel should be stopped until the skin is restored.
Lightening of the skin or the appearance of spots and increased sensitivity to the sun may occur.
