How to use the Lamitor
Adults and children over 12 years
- Patient not taking Valproate Sodium: During the first 2 weeks, 50 mg should be administered, once a day, for the next 2 weeks, 100 mg should be administered, divided into 2 doses. From the fifth week on, doses should remain between 200 to 400 mg, divided into 2 doses. Patient taking Sodium Valproate: During the first 2 weeks, 25 mg should be administered, every other day, for the next 2 weeks, 25 mg should be administered daily. From the fifth week on, doses should remain between 100 to 200 mg, divided into 2 doses.
