How to use Maxcef

Injectable Use

Adults and Teens

  • Abdominal infection: Administer 2 g of Maxcef intravenously (into the vein), every 12 hours (together with metronidazole), for 7 to 10 days. Infection of the skin and soft tissues and urinary tract infection: Administer 2 g of Mexcef intravenously, every 12 hours, for 10 days. Pneumonia (moderate to severe): Administer 1 to 2 g of Maxcef intravenously, every 12 hours, for 10 days.
