1. Lemon cream and patchouli
Lemon essential oil softens corns, while patchouli essential oil treats cracked skin and cocoa butter is great for moisturizing and nourishing your skin.
Ingredients
- 60 g of cocoa butter; 10 drops of lemon essential oil; 5 drops of patchouli essential oil.
Method of preparation
Place the cocoa butter in a pan, heat until melted and then remove the pan from the heat and add the oils, stirring. Then, pour the mixture into a jar and let it cool and massage your feet with the cream before bedtime. To avoid soiling the sheets, you can put on a pair of cotton socks before bedtime.
2. Exfoliating for cracked feet
This mixture is an exfoliating paste made with rice, honey and vinegar, which helps to remove dead skin cells in addition to moisturizing the skin. However, exfoliation should only be used about 2 times a week, in order not to harm the skin in excess. This homemade scrub is perfect for use after a shower and as a replacement for foot files, for example.
Ingredients
- 1 handful of raw rice beaten in a blender; 1 spoon of honey; 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar; 1 spoon of olive oil.
Method of preparation
Mix all the ingredients until you get a thick paste, then dip your feet in warm water for about 20 minutes and massage gently with the paste. You can leave the paste on your feet and just remove the excess or wash your feet and apply the homemade hydrant indicated above, for example.
3. Cornmeal and peppermint scrub
Corn flour and sea salt remove hard skin, peppermint oil is invigorating and almond oil has moisturizing and nourishing properties.
Ingredients
- 45 g of fine corn flour; 1 tablespoon of sea salt; 1 teaspoon of almond oil; 3 drops of peppermint essential oil.
Method of preparation
Mix everything in a bowl and add warm water to form a consistent paste. sit and massage your feet, insisting on the roughest regions. Then wash your feet with warm, soapy water.
4. Paste with baking soda
This is an excellent home remedy to ensure deep hydration of the foot, eliminating the most dry skin and eliminating the cracks that may appear in the heel.
In addition, the presence of sodium bicarbonate also prevents the appearance of infections and mycoses in the foot, which can arise due to cracks that facilitate the accumulation of various types of microorganisms.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons of lard or lamb; 3 tablespoons of moisturizer; 1 tablespoon of baking soda.
Method of preparation
To prepare this paste, just add the ingredients in a glass jar and mix well until you get a homogeneous paste. This mixture can be kept in the glass jar for up to about 1 month, as long as it is kept in a cool place and without direct sunlight. To use, just pass this mixture on your feet after bathing, for example, in place of the moisturizer.
Lard can be easily found in the butcher shop, however, it can also be replaced by some type of moisturizing oil, such as sweet almond oil or glycerin, for example.
