Sertaconazole is a medication known commercially as Gyno-Zalain.
This topical and vaginal medicine is an anti-fungal, indicated for the treatment of gynecological infections such as candidiasis or simple infections on the skin surface such as ringworm and athlete's foot.
Indications for Sertaconazole
Athlete's foot; Hebra eczema; beard ringworm; cutaneous candidiasis; White cloth; vaginal candidiasis.
Side effects of Sertaconazole
Dry skin; contact dermatitis; burning sensation on the skin; irritation at the application site; increased skin sensitivity.
Contraindications for Sertaconazole
Pregnant or lactating women; individuals with hypersensitivity to any component of the formula.
Directions for use of Sertaconazole
Topical Use
Adults and Children
- Cream, solution or powder: Apply the product on the affected region, 1 to 2 times a day. Shampoo: Apply the product to the affected region (hair, hair or skin), twice a week. Treatment should last 2 to 4 weeks.
Vaginal Use
Adults
- Apply 5 g of Sertaconazole to the vagina, with the help of the applicator that comes with the product. Once a day is enough, preferably before bedtime. Treatment for vaginal candidiasis should last for 7 days.
