How to use Simethicone

Simethicone can be used:

Capsules: administered 4 times a day, after meals and at bedtime, or when necessary. It is not recommended to take more than 500 mg (4 capsules) of Simethicone gelatin capsules per day. Tablets: take 1 tablet 3 times a day, with meals.

In the form of drops, Simethicone can be taken as follows:

Children - infants: 4 to 6 drops, 3 times a day. Up to 12 years: 6 to 12 drops, 3 times a day. Over 12 years and Adults: 16 drops, 3 times a day.

Simethicone doses may be increased at medical discretion.

Side Effects of Simethicone

Side effects of Simethicone are rare, but urticaria or bronchospasm may occur.

Contraindications for Simethicone

Simethicone is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formula and in patients with intestinal perforation or obstruction. It should not be used in pregnancy.
