Anagrelide is an antiplatelet drug known commercially as Agrylin.

Contraindications for Anagrelide

Directions for use of Anagrelide
Oral use
Adults
- Thrombocythaemia: Start treatment with 0.5 mg four times daily or 1 mg twice daily. Treatment should last for 1 week.
Maintenance: 1.5 to 3 mg per day (adjust to lowest effective dose).
Children and Adolescents from 7 to 14 years old
- Start with 0.5 mg daily for a week. The maintenance dose should be between 1.5 to 3 mg per day (adjust to the lowest effective dose).
Maximum recommended dose: 10 mg daily or 2.5 mg as a single dose.
Patients with moderate liver failure
- Reduce starting dose to 0.5 mg daily for at least a week. Increase the dose gradually respecting increments of a maximum of 0.5 mg per day each week.
