Enoxaparin is a medicine known commercially as Clexane.
This medication is an anti-coagulant, injectable use, which is widely used in the case of myocardial infarction.
Enoxaparin prevents blood from clotting in blood vessels, increasing the safety of patients who have had surgery and had to change their heart valves.
Indications of Enoxaparin
Thrombosis (venous, pulmonary and cerebral); myocardial infarction; clogging of cerebral vessels; cardiac arrhythmia.
Side Effects of Enoxaparin
Blood changes; mental confusion; ache; fever; bleeding; swelling; irritation; blood stains at the injection site; allergic manifestations; nausea.
Contraindications for Enoxaparin
Pregnancy risk B; lactating women; individuals who have had a stroke recently; children.
How to use Enoxaparin
Injectable Use
Adults
- With moderate risk of blood clotting: Administer 20 mg of Enoxaparin per day, in a single dose, for 10 days. With high risk of blood clotting: Administer Enoxaparin 40 mg, in a single dose, for 10 days.
