Acetylsalicylic acid, popularly called aspirin, is a very common analgesic, anti-inflammatory, but it should only be taken with a medical indication because it has many contraindications.
Know the dangers of self-medication and never take aspirin in the following situations:
- if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, salicylates or any of the ingredients of the medicine (consult your doctor to be sure); if you have a bleeding tendency; if you have stomach or intestinal ulcers; if you have already had administration-induced asthma attacks salicylates or other similar substances, if you are being treated with methotrexate (Miantrex, Biometrox, Reutrexate) in doses equal to or greater than 15 mg per week, if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy.
Respecting the contraindications guarantees the effectiveness of the medication and the success of the treatment.
