Trandolapril

Trandolapril is a medicine known commercially as Gopten.

This medication for oral use is an antihypertensive, which reduces the contraction of blood vessels, improving circulation and keeping blood pressure stable.

Indications for Trandolapril

High pressure; congestive heart failure (after myocardial infarction).

Low pressure; persistent dry cough; dizziness; seasickness; weakness; vision disorders; chest pain; arrhythmia; tachycardia; nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; constipation; pancreatitis; itch; urticaria; jaundice; vasculitis.

Contraindications for Trandolapril

Pregnancy Risk C; lactating women.

How to use Trandolapril

Oral use

• Administer 1 mg of Trandolapril in a single daily dose. According to the clinical response, the dose should be increased over a period of 7 days. It is important to stop treatment with diuretics 2 or 3 days before starting to use this medicine. (In severe cases, when diuretics are needed, Trandolapril should be used with caution).
