What is it for
This remedy helps to treat diarrhea and relieve stomach pain, caused by poor digestion or heartburn, for example. In addition, it can also be used to treat the elimination of Helicobacter pylori bacteria from the stomach.
How to take
The recommended dose varies according to the form of presentation and the age of the person:

In the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in adults, it is recommended to take 30 ml of syrup or 2 tablets, 4 times a day, for 10 to 14 days, according to the doctor's recommendation.
Main side effects
The most common side effects include constipation, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, as well as darkening of the tongue and stool.
Who should not take
Peptozil should not be used by children under 3 years of age, or by children or adolescents who have suffered an influenza or chicken pox infection. It should also not be used by people with allergies to monobasic bismuth salicylate or any other component of the formula.
