Bath with oatmeal
A great home remedy for contact dermatitis is to take a bath with fine oatmeal, which can be purchased at pharmacies, because it helps to relieve itching and irritation caused by contact dermatitis.
Ingredients
- Water; 2 cups of oatmeal.
Method of preparation
Put warm water in the bathtub to bathe and then put the oatmeal.
Plantain compress

Ingredients
- 1 L of water; 30 g of plantain leaf.
Method of preparation
Place the plantain leaves in boiling water and leave for about 10 min. Then strain, moisten a clean towel and make the compress 2 to 3 times a day.
In addition to the compress, a poultice can be made with the plantain, in which the plantain leaves must be placed in the irritated region, remaining for 10 minutes and then changing them. This should be done at least 3 times a day.
Compress with essential oils
The compress with essential oils is a good option to treat dermatitis, as they can reduce skin irritation.
Ingredients
- 3 drops of chamomile essential oil; 3 drops of lavender essential oil; 2.5 L of water.
Method of preparation
Put the drops of essential oil in boiling water and let it cool slightly. When the mixture is warm, moisten a clean cloth and compress the irritated area at least 4 times a day.
