Post-concussion syndrome can occur a few days after a brain concussion. It manifests itself through the prolongation of the symptoms of the disease, which are:
- Headache; Irritability; Anxiety; Loss of memory and cognition; Lack of concentration and attention; Fatigue; Personality changes; Insomnia; Dizziness; Tinnitus; Hearing loss; Visual changes; Sensitivity to light and noise; Loss of taste in the mouth, smell and libido.
These changes can last from three months to a year after head trauma, in which case the patient must be accompanied by a neurologist.
