How to take
The follitropin delta should only be used with the guidance and supervision of a doctor experienced in the treatment of fertility problems, since the dose should always be calculated according to the concentration of some specific hormones in each woman's body.
Treatment with Rekovelle is done with an injection into the skin and must be started 3 days after menstruation, terminated when there is an adequate development of follicles, which usually happens after 9 days. When the results are not as expected, and the woman is unable to conceive, this cycle can be repeated again.
Possible side effects
The most common side effects of using Rekovelle include headache, nausea, pelvic pain, tiredness, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, vomiting, constipation, vaginal bleeding and breast pain.
Who should not use
Follitropin delta is contraindicated for women with tumors in the hypothalamus or pituitary gland, ovarian cysts, enlargement of the ovaries, gynecological haemorrhages without apparent cause, primary ovarian failure, malformations of the sexual organs or fibroid tumors of the uterus.
