This medicine can be purchased in conventional pharmacies in the form of a generic or with commercial names such as Pristiq, Zodel, Deller, Desve or Imense, for example.
How to take
The dose of desvenlafaxine should always be guided by a doctor, however, in most cases, the starting dose is:
- 50 mg once a day, which can increase up to 200 mg a day.
To assess the effect of the dose used, it is advisable to consult the doctor every 7 days. The tablets should be swallowed whole, with or without food.
Possible side effects

Who should not take
Desvenlafaxine should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women, or in patients undergoing treatment with venlafaxine or monoaminoxidase inhibitors. In addition, it should also not be recommended for people with allergies to any of the components of the formula.
