How to use
The dosage of the drug depends on the condition being treated.
Generally, the method of use of tetracycline consists of taking 1 500 mg tablet every 6 hours or every 12 hours, according to the doctor's recommendation. Milk and dairy products, such as cheese or yogurt, should be avoided 1 or 2 hours before and after taking the medicine.
Possible side effects
Some of the most common side effects that may occur during treatment with tetracycline are gastrointestinal effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, oral candidiasis, vulvovaginitis, anal itching, darkening or discoloration of the tongue, pseudomembranous colitis, skin photosensitivity, skin pigmentation and mucous and discoloration and hypoplasia of enamel in forming teeth.
