Tienam is an antibacterial medication that has as its active substance Imipenem and Cilastatin.

This injectable medication is indicated for the treatment of bacterial endocartitis, joint infection and pneumonia, since this medication alters the bacterium's cell wall, decreasing the severity of the infection.

How to use Tienam (Posology)

Injectable Use

Adults

• Administer 250 mg to 1 g of the drug, intravenously, every 6 or 8 hours. The maximum daily dose is 50 mg per kg of body weight (not exceeding 4 g).
